About Allen: Allen arrived at the shelter as a poorly socialized and starving 4 month old kitten. He has spent the last 3 months in foster care recuperating from his rough start in life and learning about life with caring humans. While he is not totally confident with people, he has made great strides and we think he will do well in a quiet home with understanding owners. He gets along with other cats but avoided the dogs at his foster home. Allen has grown into a handsome fellow. His black coat now has a healthy shine and is highlighted by radiant yellow eyes. Update: Allen continues to improve with his socialization. While he still does not like being held, he enjoys being petted by people he knows and trusts. He is a very playful fellow who loves his toys. It's time for this sweetie to have a home of his own. If you think you might be his special person, come on in and meet this very special kitty.
