About Clark: If youve seen this pair on here for a long time, its because Lois and Clark have been at the shelter for a little over 2 years now! A few reasons why theyve remained at the shelter this long is because of being so bonded, they would be lost without the other! Another reason is because both came in as young kittens that showed by their actions had never been handled by people before . . . and boy was it a rough start for them at first! While they have never tried to bite or scratch volunteers during their entire time here, their beginning was spent in the back of their cage, scared to death of everything going on around them. Little by little they gained more and more confidence . . . and while theyre still on the shy side, they have made tremendous strides! Clark will actually come out of his cage now and sit on one of the Staff members lap, and Lois is able to be picked up for brief periods of time! While these two would not enjoy being in a busy home with younger kids, they would enjoy a very quiet home with an owner who was willing to give them a lot of time and patience to adjust to their new surroundings. Remember . . . theyve basically grown up at the shelter, and an apartment or a house will be a scary place for a while! Weve found both Lois and Clark absolutely love food and treats, and would even enjoy being in a home with other felines! So . . . if you think you have the time and patience to let them work their way quickly into your heart, and at a much slower pace into your home, please come down and give them the forever home theyve waited a very patient 2 years for!
