Our client is relatively young company that has recently signed a major contract that will significantly impact their infrastructure needs.
The person in this position will be responsible for managing various projects using a mix of offshore and local professionals. Source and engage technology providers and use existing technology to provide innovative solutions to unique sets of challenges. Person will create realistic project budgets and timelines for complex projects meet those objectives. Be the technology voice of reason to assure projects meet overall corporate objectives in a fiscally responsible manner. Person will also manage a Windows based network of 25 workstations growing to 100 workstations, VOIP and the use of WYSE style thin client workstations. Initially manage a network of kiosk photo bars, each including a server and 4-10 WYSE style kiosk stations. This network of kiosks is expected to grow significantly over the next few years. Be responsible for the security of web servers and the local network and building an effective team of 2-4 IT professionals.
Required Experience:
Project management experience in an IT, Web, software environment.
Experience preparing accurate project budgets and timelines.
Be familiar with managing projects with offshore outsourced components.
Ability to move between multiple projects
Be able to communicate in person or in writing with large corporate CIO level individuals addressing the technical protocols, needs and security safeguards.
Be able to work as a part of a team to solve complex problems using technology in innovative ways that produce stable, easily managed, scalable solutions.
Position will require travel on a regular basis to resort areas.
