Description

See photo. From 1839-1874 the United States waist belt plate varied little in construction and appearance. The belt plate (buckle) was standard issue of the United States Government to its soldiers during the Civil War. This piece of decorative stomach armor saved many lives.

Repro belt buckle makes a great complement to any enthusiast's wardrobe - and you don't have to worry if it will fit! This is a great novelty item that can also be used for desktop or bookshelf display. 3½"x 2¼". Unsure of metal composition, appears to be brass.

Dimensions of buckle are 3 1/4 x 2 inches. Can be fitted up to a 1 1/2 inch belt blank. Buyer pays $3.00 shipping.
